If I am being totally honest, I never used to really regard myself as a bookworm. This is because throughout my entire life, I’ve never been able to start and then finish a piece of writing, cover to cover, with true concentration or even actually just taking it all in.I have always preferred to watch rather than to read, and so I would rather watch a movie than read a book. It is not about being lazy; far from, in fact. I just prefer the sound effects and visuals that a movie has to offer.I should speak in the past tense; however, because one day, someone gave me a book they recommended and, well, things changed. It was not just a good book but a great book; one of those that just grabs you in every way (Nicholas Sparks’ The Notebook – try it!). I have been a book-loving convert ever since. What’s not to love? Content that consumes you, transforms everything, and makes you fall in love almost instantly. Are you a bookworm? Maybe, like me, you just need to find the right book; the book that opens you up to a world of possibilities and that makes you come alive in a way you never thought possible. Go ahead, you can borrow my gateway book: The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks. Thank me later.
