Stanbic Bank Botswana and BOSETU Sign Landmark Contract

17 March 2020GABORONE – Stanbic Bank Botswana is pleased to have signed an agreement with Botswana Sectors of Educators Trade Union ( BOSETU) on Thursday 12th March 2020 in a landmark step between the two.This partnership is aimed at creating a strong foundation for a sustainable relationship driven by the desire to close financial gaps experienced by the BOSETU membership as well as empower them towards their financial wellbeing. Through this partnership, Stanbic Bank Botswana will offer BOSETU members Transactional Banking Solutions which include state-of-the-art digital banking platforms; lending facilities all underpinned by rigorous financial wellness programmes.The partnership also means that members are more empowered to become future home-owners, an achievement that provides a long lasting comfort well into retirement. They will also achieve other financial goals as savings and investments will be at the fore-front of our interactions.Giving his address at the partnership launch, the Acting Chief Executive, Mr. Chose Modise, indicated that this is taken as a momentous development in the Bank’s relationship with a union as big as BOSETU. He further indicated that the Bank is alive to the widespread nature of the BOSETU membership, and that Stanbic Bank is committed to reaching members in the various areas they are based to provide convenience and accessible financial solutions. He pointed out that Stanbic Bank will determine ways of offering financial literacy to the membership as part of its commitment to ensuring that members have both the knowledge and tools to find financial independence and success.BOSETU President, Mr. Winston Radikolo, in his address pointed out that BOSETU as a union consists of teachers from all sectors of the education system and that they are found in all the four corners of the country.
