With efforts underway across the Nation to support the #PushaBW movement now more than ever before, Hilton Garden Inn Gaborone has upped the ante to actively champion support for local talent and the creative industry with the much-anticipated inaugural #PushaBW Brunch, hosted in partnership with Brand Botswana, Botswana Tourism and Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sport & Culture Development.The Hilton Garden Inn #PushaBW Brunch, held on the 28th of November 2020, convened the best locally sourced innovative and creative goods and services from across Botswana, right in the heart of Gaborone’s CBD. Proudly Botswana brands showcasing their offerings included: Tsina Tota, Nubian Seed, Le Afrika, Sweet Sensation and Keno Custom Suits, to name a few, with over 20 exhibitors in total. Set against the backdrop of a beautiful Botswana sky and the melodies of local musicians including Han-C, DJ Boogie Sid, and upcoming artist - Queen, it was a feast for the senses and a welcomed spotlight on the bevy of local talent available. Said Hilton Garden Inn Gaborone General Manager, Mrs. Thabani Ndlovu, “Hilton Garden Inn Gaborone is a proud member of Botswana’s diverse hospitality fraternity, and in these challenging times, we have come to appreciate the power of working together with our fellow hospitality providers to fight the negative impacts of the pandemic and thrive beyond it. This saw Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, Honourable Peggy Serame, urge Batswana to embrace and support the initiative as a means towards further development and sustainability of SMMEs and the economy at large.Botswana Tourism Organisation has come on board to highlight that ecotourism in Botswana is one of the tools designed to achieve improved livelihoods within local communities, as well as conservation of natural resources.
