The trifecta agreement sees a two-pronged arrangement in which Letshego sponsored Botswana Television’s (Btv) “The Eye” programme for P3 million, the first sponsorship deal of this kind at Btv. Over the year, Letshego Botswana will develop and record 52 episodes of The Eye which will be aired on Botswana Television News Channel’s evening prime time slot on a weekly basis. The second key driver of the partnership will see the introduction of the 26-episode LetsGo Financial Wellness series on Btv 1 to educate Batswana on financial literacy and money management, in line with Letshego Botswana’s desire to ensure financial education and solutions are accessible, inclusive, and practical. .The partnership will see a deliberate push to grow Micro and Small Entrepreneurs (MSEs), a core beneficiary of Letshego Botswana’s services and integral to the production value chain of The Eye. This allows for meaningful support of the wider Arts, Recreation and Entertainment industry through the development of each of the 52 weekly episodes, indeed indirectly then also contributing to job creation for the many youth employed by content creator businesses, from actors and actresses to costume designers, lighting and stage crews, and other technical support teams. The intention is to deliver impact and create shared value through aligned ambition.
